Snakey Days at Day Pond

Tuesday saw us off to Day Pond with some more friends. Before we went, our neighbor Lynn came up for a visit bearing gifts for Dante. Namely a huge black beetle, and a big garter snake.

Everyone loves a snake.

Dante has met his match -- River and he had a tug of war over this poor snake.

Lynn came with us to DP and identified this as a tree frog.
It still had a tail, but the back legs were yellow.
