Tell my mother that girls look stupid in barrettes. I don't know why she likes them so much, but she sent Maria to school looking like a dork all the time. They are little crappy pieces of plastic with dumb plastic molded flowers on them. They are the Wal-Mart of hair accessories. At least go with a scrunchy or a pony-tail, or even braids would do.

there is nothing wrong with barrettes. They are perfectly cute. In fact I think they are on a comeback. That being said, the ones on Lucia are a little big for her. But she will grow into them and get years of fashion forward hairstyls out of them.
I am crushed by tothe heights comment. I never thought Maria went to school looking like a dork. She always had beautiful clothes! Lucia looks adorable wearing berettes!
